Dermal Filler FAQs

What is Radiesse?

Calcium hydroxylapatite is a substance found naturally in our bones. In dermal fillers like Radiesse, it is synthesized into microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. Over time, the body's fibroblasts interact with the microspheres, promoting the production of new collagen.

This collagen formation enhances skin elasticity and provides longer-lasting results.

What can I expect after filler dissolve?

You may have some slight redness in the treated area immediately after.

What can I expect after dermal filler?

You may experience a bit of swelling immediately after your treatment. Once the swelling is completely gone and the hyaluronic acid has settled about two weeks post-injection, you’ll see your results. Depending on your body, results can last between 9 to 12 months.

How long do dermal fillers last?

This is dependent on the area being treated and the product used. The thicker the product, the longer it generally lasts. Cheek, jawline, and chin can last 12-24 months, lips, marionette lines, nasolabial lines, or fine lines around the mouth last 6-12 months. Tear trough and temples generally last 9-12 months.

How do I avoid bruising?

The best way to prevent bruising is to avoid anti-inflammatories for 72 hours before your treatment, and alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment. That being said, everyone bruises differently and you may still bruise.

What should I avoid prior to dermal fillers?

Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen 3 days prior, no recent infections (bacterial, viral, etc), no recent vaccines, do not consume alcohol 24-48h prior to treatment.

We can reduce and in most cases stop sweating by injecting Dysport, the same type of muscle relaxant we use for anti-wrinkle. Dysport blocks the nerve signals responsible for sweating for a period of 6 to 9 months or longer if you’re consistent with your treatment.

  • Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

A small amount of blood is drawn from the arm and processed in a centrifuge to separate platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The concentrated PRP, which is rich in growth factors, is collected and prepared for injection.

  • PRP Facial Injections

The PRP is injected into the areas of concerns and utilizes your own blood to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles.

  • PRP Microneedling

Microneedling creates micro-injuries that facilitate the absorption of PRP and trigger natural healing processes. This synergistic approach promotes collagen synthesis, reduces fine lines, improves skin tone, targets acne scars, and reduces the size of pores.

  • PRP Hair Restoration

The PRP is injected into the targeted areas of the scalp, typically where hair loss or thinning has occurred.

PRP contains growth factors that contribute to increased hair thickness and overall hair density, as well as stimulate inactive or weak hair follicles, thereby promoting hair growth.
